Movie night in anyone?

It looks like its time for another post, like I said the first few days I am going to want to keep spilling out my thoughts all the time. So after introducing myself you understand my constant late nights, what can I say, this is what it’s like being a student.

Now most of the time I have a reason to be up late, which more times than most is because im just not tired, mainly because I haven’t seen sunlight all day. But this evening I have a perfectly good reason to be up, for most students Friday night means going out to Superbull (nightclub) but no, not for my flat. We just have to listen to them going out and coming back in again… no we decided tonight we would stay in and catch a couple of films. Most of the time staying in for us means we are up later than if we go out don’t ask me how, it just does. With popcorn in hand and chocolate at the ready you can understand why the boys decide to stay in too. What can I say us girls know how to bribe. We would have had more popcorn and more reason to stay in if we didn’t put the microwave or full power and end up with black and burnt popcorn, so much for being a domestic goddess. The films of choice tonight were Taken followed by Just Go With It. To make us feel like we were properly in a cinema all the lights were turned out and the curtains closed, of course the screen wasn’t as big and you don’t get handed blankets and pillows in the cinema! It doesn’t matter how scary a film actually is, you still need that girly chic flick after, just so I know I won’t be Taken in the middle of the night!

Yes a, light hearted comedy is always something you need before going to sleep. Granted I have already seen the film before but I always jump at the same parts, im not exactly the greatest lover of scary films (I know most wouldn’t even find Taken scary) … I guess Liam Neeson has that affect on me scared without even trying. I heard the other day that there are plans for a second Taken? If you ask me that’s going too far, I mean who can get Taken twice? That girl must be pretty naïve.

Well like I said we ended the night with Just Go With It, I needed a bit of humour before going to bed. It’s a good job we watched it all together because apparently you can hear my laugh from the other end of the flat! Now that’s just embarrassing. Just as we thought it was late enough to go to sleep considering none of us had to be up in the morning, you get the noise of the everyone returning from their nights out makes you laugh really when your not one of them, it surprises me how often you get the same songs being beautifully sung at the top of people voices, “I had the time of my life” cliché of course but I guess if the night was that good you might as well sing it.

Well that’s if for another post, well I say post its more like little rants and an online diary I guess if you like that sort of thing its alright. Tomorrow I will prepare myself for the usual Saturday night routine… and no its not going out I am a student after all, no that will be a night in filled with usual Saturday night television I cant wait!
